Who can participate?

Students from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and Universiteit Antwerpen, regular or Erasmus students wishing to improve a foreign language.

Beginners are not accepted.

Credits & Certificate

  • ULB: 5 ECTS possible (check with your faculty office)
  • VUB & UAntwerpen: certificate available
  • Option to do a tandem without credits or certificate (free participation)

Periods & Registration


1st semester:
  • 15/09/25 - 17/10/25: Registration and search for a Tandem partner
  • 22/09/25 - 31/10/25: Pair registration and validation
  • 10/11/25 - 14/11/25: Submission of the first activity report and registration of the chosen topic for the bilingual project
  • 01/12/25 - 12/12/25: Tandem evaluation interviews and submission of the different assignments

2nd Semester: 

  • 02/02/26 - 06/03/26: Registration and search for a Tandem partner
  • 09/02/26 - 13/03/26: Pair registration and validation
  • 23/03/26 - 27/03/26: Submission of the first activity report and registration of the chosen topic for the bilingual project
  • 11/05/26 - 05/06/26: Tandem evaluation interviews and submission of the different assignments

4. Complete the final evaluation

Once the program is completed, schedule an appointment with the coordinator to finalise your tandem evaluation.
