FRENCH COURSES FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS

Do you wish  to learn/improve your knowledge of French during your Erasmus stay? ULB Langues offers you the opportunity to enrol in the French courses designed for our Erasmus students.

The 30h courses are given during the first and second semester (3h/week) and count for 3 credits (only for level A2 to C1; no credits for the beginner levels). Your level will be determined by an mandatory test. To ask for a place, students must attend a mandatory test. This test will allow our teachers to place you in groups according to your language level.

Level test for the 1st Semester 2022-2023

• For Erasmus students
• Subscription to the level test : NO PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
• Date and location of the test : 23 September 2022, from 12:00 to 14:00, at the LAMEERE room on the Solbosch campus
• Dates of courses: From 29 September 2022 to 14 December 2022
• Credits: 3 credits for levels A2 to C1; no credits for beginner levels

Level test for the 2nd Semester 2022-2023

• For Erasmus students
• Registration for the level test : NO PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED
• Dates and location of the test :10 February 2023, from 12:00 to 14:00, at the LAMEERE room on the Solbosch campus
• Dates of courses: From 14 February 2023 to 16 May 2023
• Credits: 3 credits for levels A2 to C1; no credits for beginner levels

During summer, ULB Langues offers 60hrs intensive courses. They are intended for students from level A2 to C1. To ask for a place, students must attend a mandatory test. This test will allow our teachers to place you in groups according to your language level.

• For regular ULB students and Erasmus students
• The test will be available ONLINE
• Subscription to the test : From 20th of June (9h00) to 3rd of August (23h59) 2022
• Date and location of the next test:  10th of August 2022 (from 9h00 to 23h55) Online
• Dates of courses: From 16 August to 5 September 2022
• Credits: no credits
• Fees : 75 € for level A2 to C1 (to be paid to the registration department after the results are obtained)

What are the measures in the COVID-19 crisis?

Courses take place face-to-face on the Solbosch Campus. 

Is the test compulsory to access the French courses?

Yes. The entrance test will allow our teachers to place you in groups according to your language level.

When and where will the test take place?

COURSE 30H - ONLY FOR ERASMUS STUDENT

For the 1st Semester:
No prior registration for the test. The test will take place on 23 September 2022, from 12:00 to 14:00, in the LAMEERE room on the Solbosch campus.

For the 2nd Semester: 
No prior registration for the test. The test will take place on 10 February 2023, from 12:00 to 14:00, in the LAMEERE room on the Solbosch campus.

When do the courses start?

30H COURSE (Only Erasmus students)

1st Semester

> Courses A0/A1 will take place from 17 October to 14 December 2022
> Course A2- will take place from 18 October to 15 December 2022
> Courses from A2+ to C1, from 29 September 2022 to 14 December 2022
 

2nd Semester

> Courses A0/A1 will take place from 27 February to 28 April 2023
> Course A2- will take place from 28 February to 2 May 2023
> Courses from A2+ to C1es, from 14 February 2023 to 16 May 2023

What is the cost of the course?

 The 1^st and 2^nd semestres courses are free for regular ULB students and Erasmus students.
